The Byrum Law Offices, P.C., is a general practice firm. We may be defined more by areas in which we do not practice than areas in which we do. We do not practice in the areas of domestic relations, juvenile matters, or do real estate closings. Our experience is in litigation - but oftentimes full-blown litigation is not the best solution to one's legal problems. Critical thinking about how to solve a problem, not how to charge a client legal fees, is our goal.
Mark opened The Byrum Law Offices in Alexandria in 1997 with experience as a U.S. Coast Guard Commissioned Officer (line officer and legal officer) and experience in U.S. Coast Guard disability litigat

ion, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Board of Veterans Appeals disability appeals, and private law practice experience in insurance defense litigation, automobile accident litigation, products liability litigation, creditors rights, collections, landlord and tenant litigation, criminal defense, traffic violations, including driving while intoxicated, workers' compensation, and personal injury litigation.
Lesa came to The Byrum Law Offices in 2003 with experience as a para-legal with the U.S. Justice Department and in private law practice in construction and claims litigation, regulatory litigation, employment litigation, collections, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) litigation.
Since becoming a legal team in 2003, Lesa and Mark have continued to focus their practice in the above matters and have expanded their practice to include personal injury, estate matters, business set-up and advising, and business dispute litigation. We will commit to work for you to try to find solutions for your problems.
